MAKING A DOMESTIC PLANNING APPLICATION
PLANNING FEES
Councils
are required by law to levy a fee for most planning applications, for the
approval of reserved matters and any consent to display advertisements. These
fees are set out on a schedule which usually accompanies the application forms
or can be found online.
The
scale of charges is varied from time to time and a list of current fees is set
out in [FEES].
For
Example:-
Outline planning applications for the erection of dwellinghouses or buildings other than dwellinghouses
will be charged a fee of £335 per 0.1ha (or part thereof) of the site area up
to 2.5ha; or for sites in excess of 2.5ha a fee of £8,250 plus an additional
£100 for each 0.1 hectare in excess of 2.5 hectares, subject to a maximum
in total of £125,000.
The fee must accompany your application and the
application will not be processed until the correct fee has been received.
