ENFORCEMENT NOTICES
METHODS OF APPEAL
You can appeal in one of two
ways:-
WRITTEN REPRESENTATIONS or
LOCAL INQUIRY.
You can elect for one or the
other, but if you opt for a written representations approach, the Secretary of
State may consider an Inquiry is required where it is necessary to take
evidence in person from witnesses or representatives.
Equally, if you elect for an
Inquiry but the Secretary of State considers the appeal could be dealt with
less formally then he may offer you the alternative of an informal hearing.
The grounds of appeal may
determine the method in which the appeal is carried out.
