PLANNING CONDITIONS
Planning
conditions are applied to the grant of planning permission and limit and
control the way in which the planning permission may be implemented. [see Understanding
the Approval Notice ]
It is increasingly common for
Councils to remove or limit permitted development rights on individual
properties through the application of planning conditions, or by way of legal
agreements. These will usually be applied as a result of specific
circumstances.
You should check the planning
history of your property to avoid carrying out development that has been
specifically precluded. Ignorance of such limitations is not a defence against enforcement action.
