CHECKLIST FOR FULL PLANNING APPLICATIONS
Other Than Change of Use

This checklist will help you to prepare your application for A Full Planning Application.

This is not a conclusive checklist and your Authority may require further information but this should get you started. Check their website for their own requirements.

If the application is for what might be considered a Major Application (ie something more than domestic involving significant commercial development proposals) then go to the Major Application Checklist.

The main application elements are listed below but for a more detailed breakdown of each application element click in the box below:-

DETAILED VALIDATION CHECKLIST

You must submit:

·         The completed application form, signed and dated (either online via the Planning Portal or by completing the Standard Planning Application Form from the Council website)

·         The completed ownership certificate, signed and dated (either online via the Planning Portal or by completing the Standard Planning Application Form from the Council website)

·         The correct planning application fee (please refer to the fee list: FEES)

·         Details of any pre-application advice received, including reference numbers

·         Copies of an ordnance survey based location plan at a scale of 1:1250 or 1:2500. It must show the direction of north and the names and numbers of properties and streets. You should clearly edge the application site with a red line and draw a blue line around any other adjoining land owned by the applicant.

·         Copies of a block plan at a scale of 1:500 showing the direction of north, the proposed development in relation to site boundaries, walls, garden, open spaces and landscaping, access arrangements, existing and proposed car parking arrangements, the extent of any hard surfacing, and boundary treatments where proposed.

·         Copies of existing and proposed floor plans at a scale of not less than 1:100 and the position of any sections.

·         You must also show the species, position, stem diameter (measured at 1.5m above ground level) of all trees within 15 metres of any proposed construction activity.

·         Copies of the existing and proposed elevations to a scale of not less than 1:100.

·         Copies of existing and proposed floor plans at a scale of not less than 1:100 and the position of any sections.

·         Copies of a Design and Access Statement (including details of proposed materials to be used for walls, roofs, windows, doors, hard-standing and boundary treatments).
